February Sales Event - Random Bag of Glass!

We're all sold out! Thanks for your support!

What is a Random Bag of Glass?

The Random Bag of Glass Event is a major fundraising event hosted by the Artisans and Glassworker Legal Fund.

For your money you'll get a package containing random glass goodies from the members of the AGLF as a thank you for your purchase.

But there's much more...random buyers will receive their thank you gift plus a little something extra. That surprise something extra might be silver leaf, mesh, raw glass, a tool, or a finished piece of jewelry.

Now's the time to help out a good cause and maybe get a little extra in the bargain. A limited number of "bags" will be sold, so act fast. This time around, we're offering you, the customer, a choice. You can choose a "Designers" bag that will not contain any raw lampworking supplies, or you can choose the "Supplies" bag that may contain lampworking supplies.

To make your purchase, just click the appropriate link below. Your thank you bag will go out soon thereafter. Have questions? See our Mini FAQ below!

FAQ

What's the deal with the two buttons?

Some customers expressed a concern that they were happy to participate, but they really have no need for things like raw glass. We heard you! So, you have options.

The "RBOG for Lampworkers" button will get you one of the Random Bags of Glass that may include glass or frit samples or other lampworking goodies. This is your opportunity to branch out a little and try something new in the glass world. Perhaps you'll receive a type of glass that you've never tried before. This is for the adventurous buyers out there. We can't guarantee that you'll receive raw glass, but if you do, there's a chance you'll receive a COE of glass you've not dabbled in before. But don't consider it a daunting challenge, consider it a low cost way to expand your foothold in the world of glass. Due to the random nature of shipping assignments within the AGLF membership, we can't take requests for particular COEs of glass, but that's part of the fun of a mystery bag!

For those with less adventurous leanings, or those who simply want something fantastic but don't partake of the flame, we offer the "RBOG for Designers" bags. The key difference is that we'll make sure it doesn't contain raw materials of use to a lampworker. There are limited quanities of each, so act fast.

Am I getting a prize of some sort?

No, you're getting what's described above. However some randomly selected buyers will receive an extra special goodie along with their purchase which could be silver leaf, glass rods, frit, or something much bigger!

When will my package arrive?

That's partly at the whim of the postal service, but AGLF members will do their utmost best to get your purchase out within 2 business days. After that it's in USPS' hands. If you don't see anything within a week (give or take a day or two), please get in touch with us.

Can I pick what I'm receiving? Can I make requests?

As much as we'd like to, that would really take the fun out of the randomess of your purchase.

I wound up with something cool! How best can I gloat?

If you love what you received, or happened to get an upgraded package and want to virtually do a happy dance, join us on Facebook and post on our wall. We'd love to hear about your awesome experience! If it was totally and truly horrific for you, please let us know.

I hate what I got, can I have a refund?

Your state laws offer you varying degrees of protection. But, since we're trying to raise money for our legal defense fund, we'd prefer not to. If something arrives smashed to pieces however, by all means, let us know so we can make it right.

I got some really cool beads and I'd like even more of them, is that possible?

Most of the people behind the AGLF are lampworkers, and if you received beads, there's a good chance either they or someone in our circle made them. So if you received beads you think are awesome and want to inquire as to getting more, feel free to email us to discuss pricing and options.

All proceeds from the sales on this website will be used to assist in the protection of our legal rights as artists.
